Maybe an antique for the future!

This unusual design was influenced by the rich classic Ottoman style which would have been woven in Italy for the royal courts and palaces of the Ottoman Empire in the late 16th, early 17th century.

The elegant pomegranate flowers form the major motif on this design with stylised leaves growing on intertwining stems. A background of beautiful silk and linen threads are woven with the surprising addition of a wool Boucle yarn. This is instead of the rich gilt and metal threads which would have been used in the past and imparts a contemporary and up to the minute look which is both innovative and beautiful.

Soft tones of grey, washed jade and an eye catching pink replace the heavy reds of the past and add freshness and life which suit today's interiors.
